PIREN-Seine

The PIREN-Seine program (Interdisciplinary Research Programme on water and the environment in the Seine basin) is a research group created in 1989 whose aim is to develop an overall vision of the operation of the system comprising the Seine hydrographic network, its watershed and the human society which depends on it.

22 research teams are assembled within the programme in order to take all aspects of the Seine basin into account, and the program is built in collaboration with 14 companies and institutions working on water management in the Seine basin.

Leesu has been a scientific partner of the PIREN-Seine program since 1998. During the 7th phase of the programme (2015-2019), 6 researchers were involved in 4 research actions.
