Detailed scientific programme of the WWW-YES workshop, including presentations and publications

Collaborative research projects (4 & 5 June 2009)
During the last 2 days of the workshop, the participants were invited to build multidisciplinary groups of 4 persons. Each group prepared a proposal for international scientific research, under the guidance of senior experts. The topics of these proposals were defined with the help of academic searchers.

Introduction
In the evening of Wednesday 3 June, all WWW-YES-2009-France participants were invited to take part to a public discussion session with citizens of the Bievre River valley on the topic of "Drinking water management: results of an international survey conducted by young environmental scientists". Translation to/from English facilities were offered to the workshop participants, so that they understand the questions raised by the public in French and were able to reply in (...)

Condition for application to the 8th edition of the WWW-YES-France workshop (2-5 June 2009):
to be involved within a PhD or postdoctoral program within a scientific institution, or to have finished a PhD since less than 3 years, to be less than 40 years old at the date of application, to be able to participate the whole duration of the WWW-YES workshop,
if the application is selected, accept to prepare in English
a manuscript (6-10 p) and a oral (...)

Candidates selected for participating to the 8th edition of the WWW-YES-France workshop should, before 6 Avril 2009
Procedure:
1. Upload their paper on the web site, 2. Send to the organisers their travel details.

The deadline for applying to the 2009 edition of the WWW-YES-France workshop beeing passed, the organising committee has examined all application files.
All selected candidates have received a message:
– requesting the immediate confirmation of their application,
– reminding them that living costs will be supported by the conseil general du Val-de-Marne (Val-de-Marne county),
– reminding them that travel costs will not be supported by the county and that each candidate needs to find (...)

Taking into account a late publication of the WWW-YES 2009 workshop by the UNESCO Water Portal / Water Events, the organisers have decided to postpone the WWW-YES 2009 registration deadline, originally 30 November 2009, till 14 December 2008. Thus lately informed PhD students may have applied! This delay is now passed and registration procedure is closed for the 2009 edition.
