published on , updated on
The GDR PES is organizing a seminar on the current state of knowledge about microplastics in the atmosphere, to be held on November 18–19, 2025, in Paris.
The aim of the seminar is to present the status of research on atmospheric plastics in France, complemented by international perspectives. Topics will include scientific challenges, methodological approaches, recent findings, and modeling.
The seminar will feature presentations, extended discussion sessions, and collective reflections on a national research strategy in this field.
The seminar will be held mainly in English, and is intended for researchers (including PhD students and post-docs) and Master’s students in geosciences with an interest in microplastics.
It will take place on Tuesday, November 18 (afternoon) and Wednesday, November 19 (morning) at the Grands Moulins campus (Lavoisier building) of Université Paris Cité, in the 13th arrondissement of Paris.
