Postdoctoral objectives
The postdoctoral research partly continues the objectives of the PhD. It aims to better understand the dynamics of Dissolved Organic Matter (DOM) in the Seine, Marne, and Oise rivers, upstream and down-stream of the Paris urban area, through the establishment of a DOM observatory (MeSeine-MatOS obser-vatory). This work includes significant metrological and methodological development to acquire high-frequency fluorescence time series using the Fluocopée® probe.
In collaboration with SEDIF and its operator, a treatability indicator is being developed to anticipate critical periods during which DOM removal requires particular attention for drink-ing water production. This indicator can be monitored continuously and at high frequency using fluorescence spectroscopy and the Fluocopée® probe.
A final area of focus for the research project concerns the development of a biogeochemical incubation chamber. This device aims to monitor the biodegradation of MOD in situ and to better understand its in-teraction with micropollutants or the importance of the priming effect, for example.
This postdoctoral research is funded by the ERASME project of UPEC university.
